1a) The only thing I can’t control is how long I have to wait at stoplights. For out-of-shape Little Me, rippling in the wind, this feels mighty good.
2) Having dispensed with Bogie and Bacall and the script of Dinner at Eight, I’ve returned to Don Shewey’s Daddy Lover God, which is a good book for my current moment.
3) Sweet mercy goodness, in a month it will be time to bring out the glass pumpkins again, and Weeping Baby Pumpkin Head . . . and then barely a month after that I turn 40!
