The new face of America?

The new face of America?

Wednesday Morning, November 4

November 4, 2020

1) I finally turned out the lights at 1:30 AM, but I started the day earlier than I wanted to, about 7ish. Physically my back hurts and my stomach is churning. There’s not enough antacid in the world.

1a) But I did this to myself! I knew we wouldn’t get a final result to the election last night, but I stayed up anyway. It’s my own fault I feel like this now.

2) And now we wait — on Pennsylvania, just like in Gone With the Wind, but also a handful of other states, including Georgia.

Just the first 30 seconds.

3) Another line from GWTW stands out this morning: India Wilkes, directing her icy contempt at Scarlett with “You’ve done everything you can to lower the prestige of decent people.” Speaks volumes, doesn’t it?
