1) Day Three home sick with a cold; Day Two home sick from work. Cold now traced to workplace of Best Friend, who fell ill at same time as I, but who now has the honest-to-goodness flu!
2) While the flesh is weak, the mind is jumbled. Thoughts of workplace, family, milestones, future - all tumble together.
3) One consequence of my new iPhone is, at last, the disposal of my old alarm clock. I’ve owned it over 30 years. The snooze alarm broke decades ago - I can remember the twang of the spring breaking when I dropped it or threw it across the room or something. The bottom had broken in half so it had to be lifted with care. But it still worked. Now that I no longer need it . . . well, thanks for a job well done.
