1) I was so happy this morning - really pleased about having my feedback included in that Emily Post podcast - and then at midday saw the news. I don't mind telling you I haven't been this low since the election.

2) Getting home, I slept for 90 minutes. It didn't help.
3) Returning from Doyle's after dinner, the full moon complete with ring over the street. Glorious. Much more tonight than the usual pearl-set-in-a-Fabergé-cigarette-case image that I usually think of. I felt I could see every detail of its landscape (as opposed to photo above). And I thought "There's beauty in the moon, and I love it . . . but no hope."
