1) The time of flowering trees is coming to a close.
2) Mercy, I nearly fell asleep on the bus on the way home.
3) Arriving home, I turned into the garden first to see if the lily-of-the-valley were blooming all the way to the tops of their stalks. And for the first time in almost 15 years here, I could smell them almost from the sidewalk. So I snipped a few, and some violets, to have in the study.
